You will now get bell notifications for thread comments

Previously, you only got bell notifications of comments on videos, if they were on your own videos or if they were replying to you.

Now, you will also get bell notifications of thread comments and replies, on this forum.

I don't know why I didn't add this feature earlier. I foolishly thought that only the comments on the videos were important. Then I found out that new users were commenting on my old threads, only by looking at the database.

These new comments on people's threads definitely should not be buried and marginalized.

I've been editing the notifications page today, just in case anyone was on there and noticed strange things. I'm done now and I think everything works fine. However, if you notice anything wrong, let me know by commenting below.

I have also added multiple pages to the bell notifications. Before that, you could only see the recent 100 notifications. Now you can go to the next page to see another 100, and another 100 etc so if the bell indicates that you still have new unread messages, make sure you check all of the pages.

Edit: Soon there will be more updates on this forum, such as a section for threads from your subscriptions, an 'other threads' section, and the ability to search up threads like you can do with videos.


