It's now 5 times the amount, compared to classic YouTube's limit and 500 more characters than Rumble's current limit.
The limit was set to 1800 before, because the inserting of comments into the database, was based on passing a value through an URL, through a hidden page, while using the GET method. URLs can only have a maximum of 2083 characters on a lot of browsers. I chose 1800, for the comment portion, to be safe.
Now, comments will be inserted using the POST method, so it won't be limited according to the URL.
In terms of YouTube during the old days, I noticed that when YouTube users wanted to write a long comment, they would write about 4 or 5 of them. That's why I think 2500 characters is fair. Let me know if you think otherwise.
There is also a character count, on the left side, below the textbox, as you type your comment.
On any given thread, there will be other threads, around the same time period, listed on the bottom of the page.
I encourage you to comment below on what you think of this site so far. I hope everything is working the way it should work, but again, let me know if you notice any problems that need to be fixed.
There will be more improvement-updates of this site in the near future.
