Apparently, when she was serving time, she was complaining about painful lumps in her breasts but the prison ignored her complaints. It was only after she got out, that they made a formal diagnosis. Mississippi is a red state with problems associated with toxic masculinity and nationalism.
With all the problems under liberal policies, I cannot imagine this woman being treated with such medical negligence, to this degree, in a blue state. That's why they are known to deny women life-saving abortions, even in the case of miscarriages.
