My daughter is really young at 5 years old, but she has taken a more recent interest in football and I'm encouraging the activity. I'm going to derail a bit, wish she watched my New England Patriots, but we did have fun watching the Super Bowl this year and she took an interest in the game and I had to explain all of the rules to her, she didn't take out her tablet or scroll on anything. These past few weeks I have been throwing a soft football to her, I don't think she can handle a normal one yet. Obviously her throw is weak because of her age, but she is accurate from 5 yards away.
I'm not saying she will be a player one day, but I will continue to bond with her and will have to break it to her at some point that there is no real professional football league for women. I know there was the misogynistic LFL with women in bikinis, I don't want my daughter seeing women being objectified on the field like that.
I know men and women are different, but kids whether male or female like to be aggressive and channel it into a healthy outlet. I wish my daughter could grow up in a world with a real professional women's football league, but she might have to do something like track or another sport to avoid disappointment.
Do women here believe young girls should be in rough contact sports with other girls? I know for men it's pretty obvious, but I wanted a woman's perspective on the matter. My wife supports it 100%
