MiWay getting rid of the middle backseat is stupid

Seriously, wtf is this?

You don't see Brampton or Toronto(TTC) buses doing this so why is Mississauga doing this?!


They got rid of the best seat on the bus that was available for decades, with no problems. I don't know which idiot decided that this seat was 'unsafe'. Is the MiWay 'CEO' responsible for this, or is this apart of the stupid policies of our woke liberal government?

The claim is that you might land on the floor if the bus suddenly stopped, because there is nothing in front of you. I don't know about others but I would rather land on the floor than smash my face on one of the yellow bars or the hard metal top of another seat, if I were to be propelled forward, due to the bus making a sudden stop.

If anything, the middle back seat is the safest seat on the bus because your body is balanced and well-adjusted when sitting there. It's also the most comfortable seat since it is so spacious, when there is no one sitting beside you, and you are more likely to have privacy and peace, than if you were to sit up front. You are literally right in the middle, so if the bus turns to one direction, it will have minimal effect on your stability. If all else fails, you can hold the 2 yellow bars beside you, which are not too far. They are just not right in front of your face, which they don't need to be.

Shame on whichever idiot in Mississauga, who decided to get rid of this seat. Even if this seat were more dangerous than the rest of the seats on the bus, which it isn't, let people have the freedom to choose this 'risk', if they think it is worth it. All you did was decrease your bus capacity by one seat, and you made this seat far more dangerous for anyone who would still sit there anyways, or have the wrong idea about it.


