🧷Punk is a subculture originating from London, UK year 1970, after the hippie movement.Punk can be a music genre, ideology, literature, visual art or fashion.

🪐The biggest creators of the punk movement were Malcolm Mclaren *the creator and manager of the most known punk band Sex Pistols* and Vivienne Westwood *iconic fashion designer most known for her punk creations and also her activism about climate change and over-consumption*.

🧷The movement spread world-wide also, where many people added their own twist into it, the subculture gaining a noticeable scene in USA.

🪐Punk and Vivienne Westood's fashion also became big in Japan and South Korea, the fashion still being popular especially in Japan.

🧷Punk fashion and the story of Sex Pistols and Sid and Nancy influenced Ai Yazawa *famous japanese mangaka* in her most known manga, later turned anime "Nana", the fashion from it being an inspiration to this very day.

🪐The style is anti-consumerist so it used lots of diy and also leather jackets, tartan plaid pants, bands t-shirts, colored hair are a staple in this fashion.

🧷Different styles of punk are: anarcho, celtic, cowpunk, crust, dance, dark cabaret, gypsy, garage, glam, hardcore, horror, deathrock, pop, psychobilly, ska, skate, street, oi!, droog.

🧷🪐My personal favourite is the one showed in Nana, that's what sparked my interest in this fashion.


