I don't want to make this about the movie or really about James Cameron, I know that Avatar is a high budget blockbuster from mainstream entertainment, I also know James Cameron has a history for being a huge asshole to work for on set(he almost got Kate Winslet killed on the set of Titanic during a flood scene). I watched the movie to see these "low testosterone" claims, the final hour of this movie is incredibly violent, not your typical Marvel super hero crap, so I'm confused as to why these men were throwing a fit last week when Cameron said testosterone was toxic. Cameron is right in the sense that testosterone leads to violent activity, unfortunately men need testosterone and small amounts of estrogen to be healthy humans. What Cameron was really saying, is that he as a 68 year old man who isn't going to make machismo movies he was making at 30 or 40+ years old, because men naturally get more passive with age as testosterone levels decline.
So right now Avatar 2 is under performing, shame since I thought as far as blockbusters go, it was at least from the vision of a director and not the corporate machine that is Disney with their Marvel and Star Wars junk. I personally think these younger men need some estrogen in their diet, maybe it will calm down their brain a bit.
