Hi all!
Sorry if the topic is too abstract and theoretical, but it's what truly pisses me off. I've been a radical feminist for about 5 years. I have a little blog where I write posts for women, tried to build offline community of women in my town and took part in some actions.
And the more time I spend in this movement, the more despair overwhelms me. You oppose not only the traditional patriarchy, but also its new liberal image. I'm really burned out and tired, I don't know where to go next.
For example, in the 5 years my blog has existed, most of my time has been spent in endless discussions with women about how I or broadly we feminists, "taking away" women's makeup, self-expression, wearing heels, etc. And that feminism is about choice, self-expression and the freedom to choose bdsm and so on.
I'm not from the US or even western Europe. And I see more and more women around me coming around to feminism, but it's almost always some sort of pop feminism with radical slogans that the husband should be a dishwasher too.
I'd appreciate it if someone could share their tips on how to overcome burnout. Or just find supportive words. Thanks
