Should FemiNuremberg be open sourced?

Yes. That could be useful.

No. I think it's counterproductive.

Open sourced means that people from other video sharing websites can see FemiNuremberg videos and (vice versa)we can see videos on here, from other sites. People from other sites can also comment on, rate the our videos, and even subscribe to our channels and vice versa.

I see how Spinster is open sourced since they are apart of Fediverse which has a bunch of other Twitter-like social media sites like Poast and Mastadon. We can all see each other's posts and follow each other.

In order for FemiNuremberg to be open sourced, it must be apart of PeerTube.

PeerTube's demographic is 66 percent male.

The upside is that this site will get more traffic and potential engagement. The downside is that we might be exposed to random trolls. There may also be some other risks(possibly security related) associated with being open sourced but I don't know much about that yet. I'm not very experience in open sourced programming but if PeerTube can convince me that it has a secure way of doing things, then I might try it out.

Do you think it's worth it? Do you think it will be helpful in bringing more feminists to this platform or will the trouble outweigh the rewards?
