You know, we are coerced to worship male musicians, male actors, male singers, male scientists, male inventors, male doctors and many, many male celebrities.
When we women want to rebel against all of this and we want to create our content, whatever that means, we are being told "buhahaha, women never invented anything".
Look, I want to be a female rock musician and they tell me this "no, you will be copying other male artists".
OK, let me tell you one example from my life.
I was always a Rush fan from Poland who worshipped Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson and Neil Peart. After reading about how Rush treated The Runaways - that all-female band, I started questioning all my worship I directed at that band. Not mentioning the fact that Geddy Lee and rest of his members, doesn't accept people from Poland, source My Effin' Life, pages 45, 46, 73, 80.
How do I learn to worship myself, despite the fact patriarchy conditions me to think otherwise?
