A couple in Arkansas has been charged with the murder of a 5 year old boy named 'Blu'. I know that's terrible and everything but I want to know who gave the woman, Ashley Roland (or Rolland), a black eye. Is it because the boyfriend, Nathan Bridges, was violently abusive towards her shortly before they were arrested or was it due to police brutality?
I don't care how much people hate her because they think she murdered a child. That doesn't mean it's okay for a woman to be in an abusive relationship. Even if a woman committed a heinous crime, that's irrelevant. If the woman's boyfriend beats her like this, he should be punished for that. Even if one of the cops did that to her, it's still wrong, because it's not their place to unleash vigilante justice on criminals, unless it's self defense or defense of another person.
Some people are saying that she was beaten up in jail by another inmate because of what she allegedly did. I doubt it because most women don't hit hard enough to cause this kind of damage to each other. For her eye to have gotten to THIS condition, realistically, she MUST have been hit by a man, but which man? I don't know for sure.
That guy does look like he could possibly be abusive to women. He's probably a southern accent republican redneck hillbilly who thinks he's so cool because he has facial hair. If he is willing to abuse a child, who's to say he wouldn't abuse a woman?
Secondly, and most importantly, I don't think Ashley Roland killed the child. I think she was just an accomplice at most and her boyfriend was the only one who directly resulted in the child's death. I mean, he does have a history of pulling a gun out on the child. Therefore, he's likely the only true murderer in this case. It's highly unlikely that Nathan Bridges and his girlfriend Ashley, both decided to beat the boy to death at the same time, and then hide his body. Most of the time in these scenarios, only one person is responsible for the bulk, if not all of the violence. However the other person, gets charged for murder too, simply because they were considered a so called 'accomplice', because they didn't report the crime. I think that's the woman's case. She knew that her boyfriend killed her son, and had hidden his body for 3 months. She didn't report, possibly due to fear. As a result, she is considered a murderer too. This is due to the felony murder law in the United States, which I don't agree with. It should be abolished.
Things like this probably make women seem like they kill more people than they actually do. This is another example of women getting blamed for male violence; for male wrongdoings. Statistics in the United States say that women are just as likely to kill their children as men are. How many cases have there been where the father or stepfather killed the child, and the mother was also considered a murderer, just because she didn't report it? That's what I want to know because I have seen multiple cases of women being arrested as murderers for simply teaming up with a man who killed someone.
This man, Nathan Bridges could possibly be a double murderer. I saw this facebook post of another woman he was with and the comments were complaining about how she was being mistaken for Ashley Roland, and that she died back in March. Could Nathan Bridges also have caused HER death, since he is proven to be an abuser of children, and possibly his recent girlfriend? If so, then he deserves the chair.
Like I said, I don't think Ashley Roland actually killed the boy. If she didn't, she should have her sentence massively reduced(or even be freed depending on the conditions) and her reputation restored.
