I know it's not related to feminism, but I feel like I have to mention it. Why does everyone hate asexuals so much and why are they almost always treated like the nadir of humanity? Forget heterophobia, homophobia, and biphobia (Straight/gay/bi men in which I don't give a shit about the hate they face, for obvious reasons), at least those three get openly spoken out against, but almost no one acknowledges the blatant hatred of aces. Straight people (mainly straight men), view asexuals as broken, or more often than not, think that they're just homosexual and just won't admit it (the people in my school thought I was gay when I was 14 despite openly being asexual), or sometimes even as people that don't exist. And don't get me started on the Christian wack-jobs rambling about it being sinful even though the Bible LITERALLY SAYS NOTHING ABOUT IT (Not that I give a shit about the Bible anyway.). And it isn't JUST straights who hate aces. Gay people tend to say that asexuality is "Just the same as being straight" even though how they're viewed by straights clearly says otherwise. Heck, when I was 14, a lesbian friend of mine claimed that asexuality doesn't exist and that if you don't have a sexual attraction then you're not human. As a straight man, I have more sympathy for straight/gay/bi people combined. Straight people are the dominant sexual orientation and can unite with each other anywhere (Although I as a straight man will only unite with women, regardless of sexual orientation), gay/bi people literally HAVE communities and spaces, but what do asexuals have? Nothing.
